-- Potions classes are held in a dungeon classroom, large enough to hold at last twenty students, their cauldrons, and their work tables. The classroom is quite cold, especially in the winter, when students can see their breath. There are pickled animals in glass jars along the walls. There is a basin in the corner of the classroom into which icy cold water pours from a gargoyle's mouth. A student supply cupboard is in the room, along with a blackboard on which the instructor can write directions for student work

-- This is the potions teacher's office. It is adjoined with the potions classroom.

-- This is the dance floor. There is a stage where live music will be played. People will be dancing like crazy all night.

-- Tired of dancing or just want to sit down and wait for someone, there are some tables to do this at. There probably aren't alot of people at the tables so take your pick

-- There are several different types of punches. Pumpkin, Fruit, and Mystery. (Most of the time they get spiked.Watch out!)

-- If you aren't one to dance maybe you are hanging back by the speakers. But watch out who knows who could be lurking back there.

-- Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor (this order may possibly be reversed, depending on how you orient the room to the entrance hall). The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

-- A long panelled room with mismatched, dark wooden chairs and a large wardrobe, sometimes inhabited by a boggart. The staff room is located off the Entrance Hall. The doorway is flanked by two stone gargoyles.

-- A classroom located down the corridor leading off the Entrance Hall on the side opposite the Great Hall. This is one of several unused classrooms on the ground floor. Dumbledore arranged for this room to look like the middle of a forest clearing.

-- The room has windows looking out onto the grounds. An iron chandelier hangs from the ceiling, although it broke loose and fell during the pixie incident. The DADA teacher's office and quarters are located on the second floor, with the use of a staircase coming into the classroom.

-- The History of Magic classroom has a blackboard through which Binns enters and exits the room. It also has a window; the window has thick glass and a narrow ledge. Just up the corridor from Binns' classroom, in the direction of the marble staircase, is a window with a view of Hagrid's cabin.

-- McGongall's office is decorated with a lot of tartan plaid. She keeps a tin of biscuits on her desk and usually, the Quidditch Cup on her shelf. Her office has a fireplace with a mantelpiece, and the entrance is evidently within easy walking distance of Myrtle's bathroom. The fireplace can be connected to the Floo Network when necessary. At least one of her windows overlooks the Quidditch pitch. Some of the corridors along the route from her office to the entrance to Gryffindor Tower have windows overlooking Hagrid's cabin.

-- This is just another spare classroom in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

-- The windows of the office face south toward the lake and also west toward the Quidditch pitch. The office changes hands every year, so the decor is different every year.

-- This is the spare classroom on the second floor. Who knows why it is here and not being used. But it makes for a great place to study, among other things.

-- Hogwarts has a trophy room where all the old awards, trophies, statues, cups, plates, shields, and medals are kept in crystal display cases. There is also a list of all the head boys and girls. It's adjacent to a long gallery full of suits of armor. Peeves likes to bounce around the trophy room.

-- The classroom has four long, large desks that are built like stairs, and are located on both sides of the classroom. There is also a large fireplace in the room, as well as several stacks of books, where Professor Flitwick lectured his pupils.

-- tudents (and presumably the staff) who suffer mishaps and injuries during the school year are sent or brought to the hospital wing for treatment. The hospital wing is well equipped to deal with all kinds of magical and mundane injuries, from broken limbs to regrowing lost bones. Only in the most severe cases are the patients sent to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries for further treatment.

-- One of the many maintenance closets in Hogwarts. Who knows who uses these and for what. Just make sure not to get caught doing whatever you are doing.

-- The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts. One of the books in this section screams when opened. The library closes at 8 pm.

-- Commonly shortened to Ancient Runes, is an elective course at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, that can be taken by students third year and above. It was taught by Professor Bathsheda Babbling, and is the study of magical runic scriptures.

-- One of the empty classrooms on the fourth floor. It is used for studying, among other things.

If you know the right password to tell her, she opens to reveal a round opening in the wall leading into the Gryffindor common room, which is the lowest floor of the tower, common room with squashy armchairs, a fireplace, tables, the common room has windows

dormitories - one boys' and one girls' per year for a total of fourteen - with four-poster beds - round rooms with windows (although these dormitories are not really on the seventh floor but in the tower which rises above the common room.

-- base of North Tower, round room, access is by means of a ladder through a ceiling trapdoor from the room below, oppressive fire with a copper kettle that gives off sweet-smelling fumes, walls lined with shelves: tea cups, crystal balls, decks of cards, etc., small round tables, squashy armchairs and little pouffes

-- where they had Astronomy class every Wednesday night. Handy for meeting with broomstick riders in the dead of night - except when it requires hauling a heavy crate up the three flights of stairs from the Entrance Hall to the corridor beneath the tower. The top of this tower where observation sessions are held for Astronomy is more or less directly above the front entrance of the castle; the top of the tower has a parapet. A steep spiral staircase leads to the top of the tower, with a door (which has an iron ring as a handle) leading out onto the ramparts, which are crenellated. To get from the foot of the Astronomy Tower's staircase to the staircase leading to the entrance hall, one must pass through two corridors before rounding the corner to see the staircase leading (eventually) to the Entrance Hall.

-- Gryffindor Tower is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady on the Seventh Floor of Hogwarts Castle. A password is required to enter it, which is spoken to the portrait. A circular hole is behind the painting, leading to the common room, which is a circular room where Gryffindor students can relax after a long day of studying. The common room is full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board where school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. can be posted. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace dominates one wall.

-- The entrance to the headmaster's (or headmistress', depending on the era in question) office at Hogwarts is behind a statue of a gargoyle on the seventh floor. When given the proper password, the gargoyle will leap aside, and the wall behind it will split in two to reveal a spiral stone staircase that moves like an escalator. Dumbledore's password for the gargoyle always seems to have been the name of a sweet, and to have been known to the various staff members though not to the student body at large. However, the office can be sealed so that none can enter save the rightful Headmaster or Headmistress, and also can be sealed so that someone already inside cannot leave without the Head's permission.

--Trelawney's residence and the Divination classroom

-- This is where the Herbology Classes are held. Beware of Greenhouse Three.

-- This is the courtyard. It has benches and it is close to the lawns. It is the perfect place to hang out on a spring or fall day.

-- This is the Black Lake, it is home to the merpeople and the giant squid so i would not recommend swimming. But it is a nice place to hang out, do homework or just have some fun.

-- This is the quidditch pitch, this is where practices are held and also where the games are held. There is a set of stands for everyone.

-- This whomping willow was palced on the grounds to hide and guard the secret passageway to the shrieking shack. Don't get to close it throws some mean punches.

-- This is a courtyard type thing that is a stone circle. Its some where for students to sit and talk or to sit and do homework.

-- This is where the ground keeper stays. There is a small hut with a pumpkin patch that grows large pumpkins.

-- This is a student friendly pub in hogsmeade. It is the main place where students meet and talk and hang out.

-- The most romantic place in hogsmeade. It is full of couples being all lovey dovey so if you can't handle it don't go in.

-- This is the big joke shop in Hogsmeade. WWW has moved to Diagon Alley.

-- This is the Owl Post. It is filled with owls and you can pay to send out letter, just like a muggle post office.

-- This shack is said to be haunted but really it is were any werewolves in the area go to change forms on their full moan. Those are what the wails are from.

-- This is the only quill shop in all of Hogsmeade. If you break a quill come here and then they might be able to fix it.

-- This is a small playground where some children play during the day. So if you have any little kids come and bring them here.
